Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actor and producer who is best known for the roles she was as the character of Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She received the B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actress also known as producer and director. She has worked in both film and television. Her acting journey began as a theater actress and then appeared in a number of television series and independent and mainstream movies. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with critical acclaim but also a number of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Movie. In 1995 she debuted in the role of Ariel on the stage on stage in The Tempest. On Broadway, she has appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In the film industry she is most famous for parts like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. The role she played as a regular in ABC's drama police series High Incident earned her praises.
